Clarion Jr. AC-60 Cathedral (1931)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Clarion Jr. AC-60 Cathedral (1931)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This radio is just radiant. It looks like it has been a vacuum container for the last 87 years! I took all the capacitors that were embedded in wax out of their three metal boxes and replaced them with new ones. The radio now plays loud and clear all across the band. The tubes are all the globe type including the two push pull 245's (the three RF tubes are even engraved Clarion brand). This radio has a cool little slide switch on the side where you can select between two antennas, if you want to string a long one for DX reception and a shorter one for local. Not sure why this one is a "Jr" it weighs 38 lbs (shipping weight 47 lbs). 20"H x 16"W x 10"D.
