Crosley 158 "Septet" Cathedral (1932)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Crosley 158 "Septet" Cathedral (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This classic medium size "Septet" cathedral radio is from the early depression era. It is an AC-powered seven-tube superhet covering the standard broadcast band and never offered for sale on the Radio Attic. Playing when purchased and when I looked under the chassis, it was mostly original. But I decided to do complete tuneup with all new capacitors to avoid future problems. Tubes were good, but most resistors were replaced as they had drifted in value. It performs very well, and needs a short wire antenna (included). The cabinet appears to be original finish and is very nice so I left it alone. Grille cloth is new repro, knobs are original, speaker has been patched but sounds great. Chassis is very clean and pics are available, just email me. Aux input cable was added so you can plug in an iPod, CD player, etc., and play audio through the radio. Add a Bluetooth receiver and use a smartphone. 90 day warranty applies. An excellent addition to any collection! Great gift! 16"H x 14"W x 9"D.
