Sparton 1268 Console (1938)
(wood tube console radio w/SW)

Sparton 1268 Console (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Sparton radios are a favorite among collectors for their Deco design, colorful dials and fabulous performance. This amazing radio has twelve tubes of power with two 45 tubes for a very strong push-pull audio. The multi-colored dial has three bands, one standard broadcast and two shortwave. Blake did a great job on the chassis restoration: all capacitors replaced, out-of-tolerance resistors replaced, tubes checked and replaced where needed, a new cord and fuse has been added for safety, the tuning eye is new and active, then a thorough alignment has the radio operating in peak performance. The speaker is the original Sparton Electromagnetic speaker and it too, is minty. The cabinet is constructed from Australian Laurel, Maple, English and American Walnut and has been carefully refinished with the proper lacquer and toners by Gary Marvin to be "like new" with rich colors and sheen. This radio will be professionally packed and shipped to your nearest Greyhound Depot, allow $150 for shipping and handling. Ask about free delivery to Oregon or Washington. This is one gorgeous console! A focal point in any room. 42"H x 25"W x 14"D.
