Majestic 60 (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Majestic 60 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This a small five-tube tabletop radio with handsome cabinet and a very ornate brass dial bezel with the iconic Majestic Eagle and the purple and yellow dial also has the Majestic Eagle. It has a cool magnifying glass over the volume and tone displays. The chassis had some rust and was cleaned and painted with Rustoleum Hammered Silver paint and looks like new and should never need attention in the future. All controls were cleaned and lubricated for smooth and proper operation. All tubes were tested on my Hickok tube tester and any defective or even weak tubes were replaced. All electrolytic and wax paper caps were replaced and out of tolerance resistors were replaced. A new polarized AC cord was installed for safety. The cabinet had a couple of chipped off veneer spots and were replaced or repaired. The plastic dial cover was yellowed and the grille cloth was torn; both were replaced. The cabinet was stripped and refinished with Mohawk toner and clear lacquer. 14-1/2"W x 8"H x 10"D.
