Philco 89B Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Philco 89B Cathedral (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

BC. This is the early version of the 89B with the stepped cabinet and AM only chassis. This set has story with it though; the chassis is 89 but the decal on it is 71 code 125, a code with very little info about it. The decal is a goof but it, along with the date code on the power transformer, make this a VERY early 89. Cabinet is correctly toned with exact reproduction grille cloth and original knobs. Performance is excellent with a two position tone switch and factory upgraded oscillator circuit, all block capacitors have also been restuffed to retain original chassis look. Loop antenna connected for out of the box use on local stations. One of the earliest and nicest 89's you'll ever find! 16-1/2"H x 13"W x 10"D.
