RCA 8-X-681 (1948)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

AM/SW. Henry Dreyfuss, the industrial designer is responsible for this classic in radio appeal and functionality. A brown swirled Bakelite radio that is incredibly beautiful with its smooth rounded corners and brass thumbwheel knobs. Classic - is an understatement. The two knobs on left are; on/off and tone while the two on the right; band and station knobs. Wow! Brass all around! The tube layout and all paperwork are underneath and as mint as the radio. Both bands play well and, of course, the short-wave needs an extended wire for full international reception. The radio has been tuned and tubes checked. It's off the ten scale! The pictures tell the story. If you'd like additional ones please let me know.
