Emerson 540 (1947)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Emerson 540 (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here's the twin brother that went to war. That could be the story with this Emerson versus the one I posted earlier. This beautiful little radio has two small repaired injuries/hairlines on the left side. These very small Bakelite Emersons were susceptible. In spite of the injury it plays good for such a small radio and it's so gorgeous! Electronically reconditioned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and all out of tolerance resistors replaced. The five tubes are in good shape. There is an added external antenna for increased station sensitivity. A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty "Battle Tested!" Special! If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 6-1/2"W x 3-1/2"H x 4-3/4"D.
