Aria 175 (Detrola made) (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Aria was a division of the Detrola company, which produced these wonderful Electric Tuning radios in 1937 and 1938. I collect these and rarely let one go, but I have two. This radio is absolutely stunning. The dial is huge with a beautiful brass escutcheon to set it off. Set the pushbuttons to your favorite stations, hold it in, watch the dial pointer and tuning knob spin around to your station. You have to love how the light shines through the call letters, how that green tuning eye opens and closes. This radio plays with big sound on all three bands, all through a big 8" Rola Speaker. These sets are highly collectable, and hard to get your hands on, so don't miss this one. These are some of my favorite sets, and they are built like Army tanks. The dial will make mouth fall open when it lights up, and these sets are very sensitive, super reception.
