Zenith 7-J-232 "Walton" Tombstone (1938)
(x tube tombstone radio)

Zenith 7-J-232 "Walton" Tombstone (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is one of the best radios you could ever own. This is famous Zenith Radio's largest and most sophisticated tombstone radio. The radio has always been "necessary" radio in an advanced collection and was further made famous as an element of the "Walton's" television program, thus the nickname. The radio is exceptionally large at 23-1/2"H x 18"W x 14"D. This seven-tube radio also has the famous "clam-shell" dial, which peels away as you change from band to band. Note the fancy "Z" knobs. Everything is original: finish, speaker cloth, knobs--original! The radio has had the through restoration from my technician, who is a life-long Zenith collector. He has done a super job, and the radio sounds more like a hi-fi than any other AM radio I can remember. If you are collecting in a serious way, having a radio of this ilk makes this set worth your close consideration!
