You are looking a very nice, but not perfect example of the highly collectible J-B "Black Swan" cathedral. These are the earlier type of radios and employ the TRF type of circuit rather than the later super-het technology. The cabinet is nice, original with a few predictable minor issues. The speaker cloth and knobs are also factory originals. The five-tube chassis provides a decent level of sound and receives the stronger and closer stations best, as is the way all TRF receivers perform. The speaker is a dynamic 8-inch replacement which does a fantastic job. Les has done his tremendous repairs and has returned the radio to factory new performance standards. The radio has been fitted with a fine silk/cotton power cord and new plug for your safe operation. He has added a mini-jack so you have the unlimited choice of content from your externally attached source. A highly attractive radio to add to your collection! 15-1/4"H x 12-3/8"W x 9"D.
