Gulbransen 7D123 Tombstone by Wells-Gardner (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Gulbransen 7D123 Tombstone by Wells-Gardner (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Gulbransen was a high-end division of Wells Gardner. These sets were made in limited quantities and most were exported abroad. The cabinet is fashioned from the finest import black striped mahogany and has been refinished at some earlier time. The radio is enormous, and is quite an impressive performing seven-tube super-het chassis playing on broadcast only. I believe the knobs and speaker cloth are correct, as the installed parts were commonly used by this gilt edge manufacturer. There are the usual signs of use to the cabinet with one repair to the left side, so please study my photos carefully. Most important is the highly detailed dial with multiple dials within the brightly lit master. You can see the details in my second photo and it shows the highly sophisticated level of construction. Clearly edgy and advanced styling makes this a one of a kind addition to your collection. My technician has done a complete repair and the radio plays like the powerhouse it was designed to be. 18-1/4"H x 15-1/2"W x 13"D.
