Stromberg Carlson made very fine radios. They were known for scientific equipment in the 1800's and then made some of the finest telephones. When radio became the hot consumer rage, they directed their energies to making them, too. This model is a seven tube super-het playing on both AM and Shortwave. The cabinet is made from stunning mahogany and has a fine original finish, with a minor amount of finish loss on the right side. The speaker cloth is a acceptable period replacement and the wood knobs are original. Being a sophisticated engineering firm, these are a dream to repair. Les has done his highly professional and complete repairs. He remarked on the quality of the electronics. Added at no additional cost is a mini-jack allowing you to use an external input device. Through these fine electronics, you choice of content sounds sweet. There is an unlimited amount of free content on the internet, which this mini-jack is perfect for. I think you will really enjoy this radio. 19-1/4"H x 14-3/4"W x 11-1/2"D.
