These portable Trans-Oceanic radios were exceptionally popular immediately after WWII. In addition to local and distant AM signals, you could tune in broadcasts from around the globe. I've owned at least a dozen TO radios over the years and this is the best G500 I've ever owned. Not many remain in this condition 70 years later. It's been restored by a prior owner and plays great on all bands. I always recommend a simple long wire antenna for improved listening. Weighs 16 pounds; 17-1/2"W x 11"H x 7-1/2"D.
