Emerson 988 Rambler (1959)

NEW!This is a nice black Emerson Rambler 988 AM radio built in 1959. They are all awesome AM players. I worked on 1930's and 40's Emerson radios and they were well built with beautiful Ingraham cabinets. For its size which is a little bigger than most pocket radios of that time. It components are at least five times as big as any other small radio I have seen and the case is built much thicker, thus a stronger case and is supposed to never break. It is a radio which very little will go wrong. It has eight transistors, five new electrolytics and one wax capacitor replacement. This radio uses four "AA" batteries. The last photo is a way to make it easier to load four "AA" batteries. Your choice. 6-1/2"H x 4"W x 1-3/4"D.  $185.00. (0040535)
