Zenith Royal 500H (1962)
(plastic transistor shirtpocket radio)
|
The 500H's are the most powerful radios of the Royal 500 family. The reasons are they have a large speaker that takes up the whole radio front and besides having eight transistora, the electrolytic caps are double in value from the early 500's. More power. They come in cream, black and two tone blue. This is an nice looking Royal 500H AM two tone blue. The front is almost flawless. Most of the 500H's that I have seen have some cracks and missing pieces. This cabinet has a missing 1/16" of cabinet on the top left corner and a repaired crack on one side. I replaced all electrolyte and wax capacitors. It been cleaned and aligned to play like new. The battery box is clean. I include the batteries with it so it plays out of the box. 6"H x 3-1/2"W x 1-3/4"D. $175.00. (0040541)
