Emerson 511 (1947)

Emerson 511 (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This swirled Plaskon Emerson's design is attributed to Raymond Loewy, one of the greatest industrial designers of the 20th century. It is also referred to as the "Moderne." The clear plastic dial cover floats over the gold metal mesh grille. It's very striking when the dial lamp bleeds down through the plastic dial. About 99% of these Emerson Plaskon cases have a small hairline on the front edge. This case is perfect, no hairline cracks at all, and no other cosmetic issues. The radio is playing very well picking up all my local AM stations. Convenient handle to carry, and provide ventilation. About 10-1/2"W x 7"H x 6"D.
