Motorola 53H (1954)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Motorola 53H (1954)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Motorola Retro Atomic design model 53H radio from 1954 in a beautiful midnight black Bakelite case. This design was influenced by automobile dashboards of the 1950's and affectionately known as Motorola's "Jetson's" Model. The original case has been professionally restored into a beautiful original midnight black color. The other colors available were gray, green and blue. The case had no cosmetic damage of any kind: no cracks, chips, hairline cracks or repairs. The original back is on the set, it has a clear slide-rule dial, as well as its grille and crest on the grille. The radio has been completely gone over by my tech, replacing everything that needed replacing, and the radio is playing clearly picking up all of my available AM stations with no problems. It has its perfect matching Motorola knobs, and they have their metallic gold inserts, usually always missing on this model. Surprisingly, this model was not made with a dial light. This is a fantastic Retro Motorola radio in a beautiful one-of-a-kind color. It looks just like it came on the dealers' shelves almost 75 years ago. About 11-1/2"W (at bottom) and 8-1/2"W (at the top) x 6-1/2"H x 7"D (to end of the knobs). A cute little Motorola not designed quite like any other radio. If you are interested in any other of my radios I have listed, let me know and I will offer you a package price!
