NEW!Great 1950s styling on this compact portable from RCA. The gray plastic case is in superb condition with no cracks or significant scratches. The four-tube chassis inside is clean as a whistle and works like new. Restoration included replacement of all paper and electrolytic capacitors, alignment, and cleaning of all contacts. This radio originally worked with two special tall 1.5V batteries and a single 67.5 V battery. I've made an adapter so that it now works with two normal "D" cells and seven 9-volt batteries. Batteries are included, so this will play for you right out of the box. The switch on the upper left of the front panel is a "battery saver" switch which provides longer battery life in exchange for reduced volume. The original leather carrying case is included, although the case has seen better days. Its front hinge has been taped, and the strap shortened to eliminate a break (and I wouldn't recommend carrying it by the strap!). Small and light, so shipping will be inexpensive. 9"W x 6"H x 2.5"D.  $115.00. (1310226)
