RCA 54B3 (1950)
(plastic tube portable radio)

RCA 54B3 (1950)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
This very compact RCA portable from 1950 sports red plastic covers with a faux alligator skin pattern. All parts are original and free of cracks. The original leather carrying handle is still intact. The front cover flips open and automatically turns on the radio. The chassis has been fully restored to work like new, with all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced, a good set of tubes, and all contacts cleaned. Although it originally used a 67.5 V battery pack, it has been converted to run off seven 9-volt batteries along with a single "D" cell to make it easy to buy and replace batteries. A new set of batteries is included, so it is ready to play straight out of the box. Compact and light, so shipping will not be expensive. 6-1/2"W x 4-1/4"H x 3"D.
