| Nice clean, quick and simple to use Hickok 800A tube tester. Everything in excellent condition. Working latches, roll chart moves freely, and Instruction manual included. It is working well and is a compact bench top model that is basically laid out same as a 600A. It is essentially a model 6000 with panel mounted sockets rather than the "socket plate" or "socket island". The 800A is the same as the 800 but with the addition of sockets for compactrons and nuvistors. Some of the features: 1) Measures mutual transconductance which is the best type of tube quality test. 2) Meter reads with "bad-good" scale or read transconductance directly. 3) Tests transistors and diodes in addition to tubes. 4) Neon light shorts test is automatic. No switching is necessary. 5) Sensitive gas test. 6) #49 bulb acts as a fuse to protect bias potentiometer.
