Collecting is a funny business. A "Beany Baby" that sold for $2 could bring $200 a year later. This low budget, depression era Jackson Bell "Peter Pan" four-tube TRF probably sold for $15, and now it brings over $800. In any case, you will be hard pressed to find a nicer example of this highly collectible model. I replaced the bad veneer over the arch with new, better, wood backed walnut. I fixed up a previous chassis rebuild, and fitted it with tubes that test new or better. I gave it a gorgeous, slick finish with 18 coats of lacquer and two sanding operations. It really is a little show stopper now. Only four of these have sold on the Attic, with two of them bringing nearly $900. They are never perfect after 90 years, but this one has very little road rash. A couple of small, very good veneer repairs on the front and a few minor blemishes are about all of its shortcomings. One of my best cabinet jobs ever. I doubt you will have a nicer looking radio in your collection. Requires an external antenna. Has antenna type volume control. Read the provided instructions before operation. 11"H x 9"W x 7"D. $899.00. (1680191)
