Zenith 12-S-265 (1938)

NEW!Zenith produced one of the most beautiful cabinets and outstanding radios in 1938 with the 12-S-265 shutter dial radio. This example has been electronically restored, with all new capacitors, all out-of-spec resistors replaced and new tubes as needed including a bright green eye tube. The shutter mechanism operates smoothly. The 12-inch speaker is original and is like new. This radio plays well on all bands. It has been refinished with period correct toning and clear semi gloss lacquers. The 12-S-265 has some great features such as the "beehive" acoustic adapter to really add bottom to the bass, and motorized tuning to speed you to the next station. An auxiliary input can be added at no charge. 44"H x 24"W x 15"D.  $1,500.00. (1730027)
