Emerson DA-287 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1939)

Emerson DA-287 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1939)
Emerson DA-287 w/Ingraham Cabinet (1939)
Sold by David Spivey on April 10, 2012
Listed price on date of sale - $199.00
This is an incredible radio in an Ingraham case made by the Ingraham Clock Co. for Emerson. Professionally refinished in beautiful toning lacquers to its original condition on the showroom floor. Three bands: Short Wave, Police and Broadcast. The band switch original knob is on the back of the chassis. As you switch from one band to another, the small colored jewels in the top of the case light up for each band. Tunes stations on both broadcast and short wave (although better reception on S/W with an extended antenna). The Police band was discontinued many years ago. The dial lamp works fine. Foreign station locations shown on the dial. Three original Emerson knobs for on/off/volume, tone and tuning. Ingram tag on the bottom. It's a beautiful imposing radio, sized at about 16"W x 10"H x 7-1/2"D.
