Kadette radios sold!
|Sold on June 14, 2011|
Listed price on date of sale - $100.00
|In the 1930s, the little college town of Ann Arbor could boast of at least two makers of innovative products: Argus Camera Co. and, on a smaller scale, International Radio Corp., producer of the Kadettes. The Jewel series featured "Plaskon" (urea) cases in a choice of colors, three-tube TRF circuits, series filaments with resistance line cords, small magnetic speakers, etc. This example, in ivory, is all original except for the filter capacitors. The cracks in the bottom of the case have been epoxied to forestall any further damage, as has the cardboard back. One crack shows from the side. This set works about as well as it ever did. 8"W x 6"H x 4-1/2"D.|
