A compact wood table radio with Deco styling. 1941 was the last year for consumer radio production before all effort went into military production. Tunes the AM broadcast band using a built-in loop antenna. Shortwave band covers only a limited range. Pushbuttons were originally set up for LA area stations. The escutcheon surrounding the dial and speaker opening was originally made of an unstable form of plastic that deformed as it aged. A wood replacement for the deformed part was fabricated. The cabinet has been refinished in the original walnut and black colors. The electronics were restored to provide reliable daily listening with good volume and tone. The power cord and plug were replaced. The radio will be carefully packed to make sure it arrives in good condition. Click here to see a video of this radio playing. 13-1/2"W x 8-1/2"H x 7"D.
