First time on the Attic! 1935 Wards Airline model 62-196. Seven tubes, AM and two Shortwave bands. This radio has had a recent full cosmetic and electronic restoration by its previous owner. Cabinet is beautiful. Original knobs, new correct speaker cloth, new cloth power cord. Radio powers up and the striking dial lights nicely. The tuning dial sticks a bit so you might want to use WD-40 or similar product to loosen it up. Comes with original first owner's manual and other paperwork. 17"H x 14-1/2"W x 10"D. Being sold as-is. 1938 Automatic model 933. Four tubes, AM reception. Original finish and decals. original knobs. Dial moves as designed and receives stations. I had the resistor cord replaced and a new modern power cord install and a resistor mounted on the chassis. The radio plays but after a while I do smell a funny odor. Don't know what it is but I've got too much money invested in this nice radio so I'll let one of you folks figure it out! (original). It is being sold as is. 1938 Detrola model 148 AC set. AM and three SW Bands. Seven tubes. Last one sold on the Attic was in 2013! Chassis has been fully reviewed with all capacitors replaced and all other components such as tubes and resistors tested and replaced where bad or weak. New crystal clear dial cover. New speaker cloth. Original speaker, resistor cord has been replaced with a new power cord and the resistor mounted safely on the chassis. Dial lights brightly with two dial bulbs. Cabinet retains its original finish. I cleaned it a bit with Restore-A-Finish and it looks very nice. Original knobs. Emerson DA-287 (1940)
Beautiful Emerson DA-287 in an Ingraham cabinet. Case has been professionally refinished and looks great. Three bands: Short Wave, Police and Broadcast. The band switch original knob is on the back of the chassis. As you switch from one band to another, the small colored jewels in the top of the case light up for each band. Tunes stations on both broadcast and short wave although better reception with an extended antenna wire (included). The Police band was discontinued many years ago. The dial lamp works fine. New crystal clear dial cover. New safe power cord. Foreign station locations shown on the dial. Three original Emerson knobs for on/off/volume, tone and tuning. Original Ingram tag on the bottom.
