Zenith R-7000-2 Trans-Oceanic (1981)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Every now and then you run upon a radio that plays so good you would think it was brand new. This radio played extremely well before I restored it with all new electrolyte capacitors and aligned for peak performance. The cabinet is in very good condition but it does have some light scratches on the top and the inside tray. It is a rare radio in that only 25,000 R7000-2's were made. The -2 is the last of the R-7000 series and is sought after because it has large gears for its tuner. They do not break. The other problem with these radios is the bandswitch clicking mechanism. This one works great. It comes with a power cord. No Log Book. One year warranty. The radio will be shipped to you by USPS Priority which only takes 2-3 days. You can buy one of these radios for up to $1000 but will have to eventually get someone to replace all the capacitors since they are almost 40 yrs old. This one is already restored.
