Sparton radios are a favorite among collectors for their Deco design, colorful dials and fabulous performance. This Art Deco Sparton shows the reason they are so collectable. This set features a beautifully designed cabinet with contrasting veneers and a wonderfully designed dial and escutcheon. Offering AM and Shortwave bands for Local and Worldwide reception (notice the Globes on the dial) this radio plays great picking up station strongly on all bands. The sound is exceptional with plenty of volume. The cabinet has been professionally restored using proper stains and lacquers. It really looks fantastic. The chassis is clean and has had a total restoration: all capacitors replaced, out-of-tolerance resistors replaced, tubes checked and replaced where needed, a new cord has been added for safety.
