(x tube novelty radio)

Guild 556 "Country Belle" - (1956)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

AM. Looks like an old country telephone but it's really a tube radio! The left brass bell is for tuning and the right brass bell is on/off/volume. Behind the telephone microphone is a five tube radio and a speaker! Outer rock maple outer case in excellent original condition. Hangs on a wall and plugs into any AC outlet just like a regular radio. Inner radio chassis has been serviced (see below) and radio plays well with very good sensitivity and nice tone. Guild was based in Inglewood, CA and made very few radios. A truly rare and unique radio for your collection. 7-5/8"W x 17"H x 7-1/2"D.
