THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is one of the choicest and, yes, dare I say it, rare radios to come down the pike in many a year. There are fabled stories of a massive recall by Zenith back in the day with the explicit intention of destroying this unique type of radio! Yes, this is an "original" in many ways; the chassis is upside down; like the radio case that surrounds it the chassis itself is Bakelite; it has all its original six tubes; the dial cover and dial scale are original; and, it plays great! I have saved the original Zenith paper capacitors and, I've hollowed out the old electrolytic and inserted new replacements. It plays great! No chips, cracks, scratches. The tube layout inside the case is pristine. This Zenith establishes a new standard for the Jim Dennis "Scale of Beauty!" If you'd like additional pics please let me know. 8-1/4"W x 5"H x 5"D.
