Emerson 540 (1947)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Emerson 540 (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The operative word here is "Diminutive." As a matter of fact, if Warner Bros. would have waited eight years before they made the Wizard of Oz this lil' bugger would have been a wonderful radio prop in every Munchkin household! What a fun, heavily swirled brown Bakelite Emerson! I'm not sure what the thinking was back then, but I think Emerson captured the title at the time; World's Smallest Electric Radio! Electronically reconditioned with new paper and electrolytic capacitors and all out of tolerance resistors replaced. The five tubes are in good shape. There is an external antenna connection for increased station sensitivity. A Jim Dennis Scale of Beauty "Yellow Brick Road!" Special! If you'd like additional pictures please let me know. 6-1/2"W x 3-1/2"H x 4-3/4"D.
