General Electric M40 (1933)
(x tube table radio)

General Electric M40 (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Dubbed "lunchbox," after the style in thirties, this metal radio has an interesting lever-operated speaker to conserve space. It was made playable when I obtained it several years ago, but the cord is now frayed, and plugging it in is unadvisable until that is fixed. It still has the original paint and grille cloth, but the back is missing.
