US Navy WWII Submarine Radio

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This RBL-3 VLF receiver used on submarines is a most historic radio from the WW II Pacific Theatre! This one as you will note, has a great big "HI" in a circle on the lid. It is from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and was most likely on a sub. The old timers tell me this somewhat smaller than the RAL series receivers were used on the subs. This one is in very good overall shape and shows very little salt water "encrusting." The dial face is in great shape, quite visible with no peeling. I have all the original knobs and insides are in great shape. This radio works just fine. If you want a really neat piece of history for your "boat anchor collection," here it is! Radio weighs 50+ pounds, so keep that in the budget!
