Admiral 5-Z (1933)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Admiral 5-Z (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was a very early Bakelite/Plaskon radio. The set is in fantastic condition, displaying none of the cracks or chips which a set of this make up and age always have. The set is so complete; the radio retains the factory back, in a contrasting color. Plaskon was a first cousin to Catalin and has many of the same translucent characteristics. Note the metal grille and the contrast of color and materials! One notable element: the radio can be placed either direction so it can be horizontal as well as vertical. The radio was designed to work either way. This is another exceptional example, complete and a solid player.
