Sparton Radio 255A (Canadian) (1935)
(wood tube table radio)

Sparton Radio 255A (Canadian) (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Dramatically influenced by industrial age design, and the super quality that these Canadian radios offer, is this top of the line table radio. There is such a degree of quality built into this radio, the elaborate woodworking, is clear to the eye. The interior is exactly as great, as the government of Canada, required a high degree of electronics than the U.S. authorities. This radio came from the Mark Stein collection. Mark wrote the best series of radio books and price guide available to collectors. This set was published in one of the five books he authored. The radio is in pristine factory original condition, with a factory back. The radio is a three-band receiver. The restoration is complete, and the set is a terrific player. The restoration consisted of all filter caps, caps and all of the tubes replaced that tested less than 90 percent. The radio had been completed with a reproduction silk cord and a new Bakelite plug. 17"W x 10"H x 11"D.
