Trav-Ler D Cathedral (1931)
(x tube cathedral radio)

Trav-Ler D Cathedral (1931)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a rather scarce set that was made in Los Angeles in the earliest 1930s. People do not realize that there were forty plus makers of radios on the west coast, and they were seldom seen on the eastern part of the country. I doubt you have seen a set from Trav-Ler of this vintage, as they were a boutique maker, until the later 1930s and expanded their manufacturing dramatically. This is a "Grand Cathedral," and a very early one. The radio is the earlier TRF circuit and the tuning done with the flywheel dial. The radio is in beautiful condition, made of fine walnut solid woods with veneers. The radio looks to be all-original and is stunning in its condition. The radio has seen the same complete restoration that all of my radios see, and is a top-notch player. Everything is original, with the exception of a new silk covered cord and a replacement Bakelite old fashion plug. This radio is for the most discerning collector! 16-1/2"H x 16"W x 10-1/2"D.
