US Radio (Apex) 7A Cathedral (1932)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Grand cathedral radios were among the earliest ones made. They were large and magnificent in scale and sound quality. Because they were an earlier type of radio circuit, many were mediocre sets. This particular set was a very early superhet, which offered a vastly better caliber of service in an earlier set. You can see the toggle on and off switch on the right side, always the hallmark of a late twenties-early thirties radio. The company was so proud of its prowess in offering the latest technology, they even mention it on the fine bezel on the face of the radio. The cabinet is in terrific original condition and the radio retains all factory parts with the exception of the power cord and plug that have been replaced for your safety. My technician has given the very through overhaul of this radio that all of my radios receive. Filters and all caps have been replaced. Every element has been tested for the original factory values and found to be in fine order. 18"H x 16"W x 12-1/2"D.
