Peerless Detrola A9871 (1938)
(wood tube table radio)

Peerless Detrola A9871 (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is the second example of this fantastic receiver. This one has a plate indicating it was manufactured for the electronic retailer Peerless Electronics. The former example was tagged, Knight Radio. Regardless of the nameplate, know that it's a tremendous radio, and probably made under contract by Detrola Radio. The set is a high-powered table set, with a bright new green tuning eye. Every whistle and bell from 1938 has been incorporated into this unit, tone controls, three bands, and a huge 8-inch dial. I have included a nighttime shot of the beautiful multi?color dial that is really special. The cabinet is a deluxe crafted model with a striking use of red Mahogany. My technician has professionally repaired the set for decades of fine service. These repairs include replacing the entire lot of filters and caps. He has tested all of the tubes and replaced the ones that were less than new, and aligned the tuner and added a new power cord and plug for your safe use. 22-1/2"W x 12-1/2"H x 10-1/2"D.
