Philco 49-900 "Hippo" (1949)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Philco 49-900 "Hippo" (1949)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is one of the most distinctive Bakelite radios ever made. Called the Hippo, this model was made for two years due to the popularity. The radio is factory painted ivory, in remarkable condition. The paint is nearly free of flaws, the decal tight. The radio has been repaired by my technician and it plays great. He added a fresh power cord and plug for your safe use. These "All American Five" radios were some of the most reliable ever made. Note the full back with a small tear. 12"W x 7-3/4"H x 8"D.
