Fairbanks-Morse 8L (1939)
(wood tube table radio)

Fairbanks-Morse 8L (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

You are looking at a console sized chassis radio made into a table radio. The Fairbanks Morse Company was located in Indiana, and known for finely made radios. This is a huge eight-tube super-het with a very sensitive green tuning eye. The radio is in factory original condition, with the original speaker cloth (note picture #4) factory knobs and a very nice finish. There is one tiny sliver out of the top veneer on the back edge, left side (picture #3), but the richness of the fancy book matched top speaks volumes to the hand crafted care that made this radio. I should mention the oversize, multicolored oval dial which is ornate with detailing measuring a enormous 6-1/2" wide and 9" tall. I think this is as big as any I have seen, with the brand new tuning eye in the twelve o'clock location. My tech has done his complete repairs, and replaced all that was required and more, to assure you of the super performance this radio is capable of producing. 19-1/2"W x 13-3/4"H x 12"D.
