Atwater Kent 165 Cathedral (1933)
(wood tube cathedral radio)

Atwater Kent 165 Cathedral (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is one of my favorite A-K cathedrals. This is an unusually fine example. The radio is a full fledged six-tube super-het chassis with automatic volume control. This was made with the same cutting edge technology as the larger A-K's but in a smaller form. The condition is terrific and original with a touch up to the base. It has factory installed speaker cloth and knobs, but most importantly the delicate lace-like grille is perfect. My technician has done a complete repair returning this beauty to a perfectly performing radio. He added a fine silk/cotton power cord and Bakelite plug just as it had leaving the factory some 80+years ago. 15"H x 12"W x 9"D.
