Here is a seldom seen terrific Detrola tombstone. Note the oversized and brightly lit dial with the clear channel stations on a multicolored background. The radio is a striking example that was refinished by the previous collector. I noted there is one hardly noticeable crack in the veneer but the set is scarce and striking, so I added it anyway. The speaker cloth is a period correct replacement and the knobs factory original. The radio is a strong playing seven tube super-het that plays on both Broadcast and Shortwave. I was impressed with the addition of a tone control which allows you to tailor the sound output to your taste. Les has done his complete professional repair and the radio is dramatic in performance. Les added a mini-jack to allow your connection of any modern device. Your phone, pad or computer can offer an unlimited amount of free content. Bluetooth is available for $25! 17"H x 14"W x 7-1/2"D.
