Zenith 9-S-232 "Walton" Tombstone (1938)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Zenith 9-S-232 "Walton" Tombstone (1938)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Considered as one of the most collectible of all of these old radios and displayed on the popular television program "The Waltons." The condition of the cabinet is remarkable with an original finish. I noted only the tiniest scratch on the top, so look at photo #5; it is very hard to see. Clearly this is a wonderful condition and with all of the authentic factory parts. The speaker cloth is a very accurate reproduction and the knobs the iconic factory original "Z" wood knobs. The paper tag on the underside is still present about 95%. All of the factory numbers match. The motor works perfectly in both directions. My tech has replaced all of the components required. He has completely disassembled the shutter dials and cleaned and oiled them for smooth operation. We replaced the dead eye tube with a super sensitive 6E5 eye tube. He also has added a mini-jack allowing you to connect to an external device. Use your phone, pad or computer to allow you an unlimited choice of content. A reprint of the original owners and operational booklet is included. Free Bluetooth included! 23-1/4"H x 17-3/4"W x 13"D.
