Here is a never seen model from the famous Chicago based Clinton Radio. The company was known for fantastic radios and the ones from their Plant A known as the "skunk works" are few and far between. The Plant A production was deemed experimental and employed advanced radio techniques for later adoption for the products more mass manufactured. This particular set is difficult to find on line or in the books, as it was designed and made in tiny numbers. The looks of the cabinet were futuristic for the era, and the brightly lit multi colored dial with a foil background only added to the sophisticated good looks. The radio is in factory condition with a nice finish, original speaker cloth and knobs. The radio also retains the full factory back, which is often missing. This model is a six-tube super-het chassis and it is a dramatic player. My tech has given his professional best in the restoration of the 85 year old electronics with impressive results. His addition of a mini-jack will allow your connection to any modern type of device and you can play anything you wish through the radio. Bluetooth is available for only $25 additional!
