Philco 16B (1933)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Philco 16B (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

The monstrous eleven-tube chassis plays through an eleven-inch speaker! This was the second model produced with a fine tuning control which was an added enhancement from the earlier model. The radio even sports a loudness switch on the side, similar to the loudness control on your modern stereo unit. The right knob is a preset multi position tone control to offer the finest in listen quality. The radio offers a shadow-graph, which this particular set shows a high degree of activity. The radio cabinet has been professionally refinished in a clear high gloss finish. The speaker cloth is factory original along with the Bakelite knobs. My technician has completed the repairs and has returned the radio to factory "new" performance. This high tube count and with the fine tuning controlled offered the "DX'er" the finest receiving potential on a tube radio. The tech added a mini-jack for your ability to connect to any modern device Add Bluetooth for only $25 additional. This is an extremely large set to accommodate the massive chassis and speaker. 22"H x 17"W x 13-1/2"D.
