Firestone Stores had a nice showroom and waiting room for their customers. Consumer radios were the rage, and it gave the sales people ample time to sell the customers a new set. These were well crafted radios; the one before you is an interesting and original six-tube super-het offering both broadcast and shortwave bands. The form factor is a bit edgy for the period, and the cabinet is in original factory condition. A bit of wear for the 80+ years of service, but retaining the decals identifying the controls and other than one tiny spot of the top, a remarkable specimen. The radio offers an additional benefit of a tone control for an enhanced listening experience. The knobs, unique to the brand, are present and the six-tube super-het chassis is outstanding! This example is so original; it has the full factory back! My professional tech has undated and return to the radio to a perfect operating condition. His labors included installing a mini-jack to allow a connection to any modern device. This will allow you to listen to any content of interest.
