Coronado 750 (1939)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Coronado 750 (1939)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a rather unique antique radio, I have never seen before. The chassis which is a high quality and eight-tube super-het dates from the middle 1930's. The cabinet is like dated with the craze of skyscraper shaped radio which coincided with the 1934-35 World's Fairs in Chicago. The radio is simply huge and impressively modified in the late 1930's with a popular tuning eye kit. So you have a nine tube model with a sensitive eye tube winking from the eight tube chassis. The dramatically sized cabinet, looks to have been refinished at some early point in time, with reproduction speaker cloth also period correct. The fancy saucer shaped wood knobs are originals. My technician marveled at the fine qualities of the chassis as he professionally made his repairs. His work included adding a mini-jack for your ability to connect the powerhouse to any modern type of device. With a nine tube chassis, largest sized Rola 8-inch speaker and gigantic cabinet this radio offers a really spectacular listen experience. What a tremendous find! Bluetooth is available for only $25.00 additional! 22"H x 17-1/4"W x 13"D.
