This runs on battery (like the tube Trans-Oceanic batteries) or AC. There is a line cord built in the back. The cover is faux alligator and the speaker grille has a very nice looking palm tree pattern. I mainly bought it for a Hawaiian motif we used to have in our house. The carrying handle is missing but the D rings are inside in a baggie. 14 pounds.
