Airline 62-290 (1937)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Airline 62-290 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Bakelite cabinet "bottom loader" displays nicely on all four sides! This is the model that uses a power transformer. Has a unique "ribbon" type dial, really cool! Radio has been completely recapped, restored and it plays loud and clear. My guarantee applies. New Old Stock (NOS) eye tube installed (6U5). Painted with "hunter green" enamel. This shade shows up slightly different between flash and indoor light. It has been raining here the past week so I can't get an outside shot, but the actual appearance is somewhat between the shades shown in the views. I took the first photo without flash so you can see the difference. The preset buttons are not original for this radio but they are Bakelite from the same period NOS replacements. Knobs are original Bakelite. This would be a star in any collection! 17 pounds packed. This cabinet is very fragile so I will need to use large boxes.
