Crosley 516 Tombstone (1935)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Crosley 516 Tombstone (1935)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Completely restored, this radio plays loud and clear. My guarantee applies on the broadcast band only. The "can" caps were restuffed with fresh electrolytics, and all other caps and most resistors have been replaced. Cabinet has been refinished with stain, toner, grain filler and Precat 90 sheen lacquer (about five coats). Original Bakelite knobs, and plug. New grille cloth and cloth cord. It even looks nice in the back with everything polished up. The Goat tube shields even have their tops (hard to find). OK, so the cabinet measures 13-1/2"H x 11-1/2"W x 8"D, making it a tombstone only barely by definition (taller than wide); weighs about 17 pounds packed.
